Wearing a Chastity Device

How does it feel to wear a Chastity Device?

During the 11 years Tickleberry was involved with selling chastity devices this is probably the most regularly asked question received from new chastity customers.

Physically the first thing you notice when you wear a device is that it adds some extra weight to your penis. This can seem a little unusual at first. Not painful, just different.

It also means that your penis is pulled downwards a little more than normal. After a while it can feel very comfortable, once you’ve got used to wearing it you’ll soon come to enjoy the physical sensations of your confinement, the beginnings of an erection will remind you of your loving keyholder.

Some men who are used to long term lock up actually feel “naked” without their device. Wearing a chastity device is a constant reminder of your commitment to your lover, that you’ve given control of your penis to another, you need permission to orgasm, and seek your reward in giving pleasure.

Is it Comfortable?

Generally wearing a chastity device does not hurt, but you shouldn’t always expect it to feel comfortable right away. It can take a some time to become used to it; both physically and mentally. Once you’ve become accustomed to wearing it at times it will sometimes feel as if the cage is “caressing” your penis. This can heighten arousal, and feels like you’re wearing your own personal “bondage cuddle”.

The beginnings of an erection will feel more like a nice “erotic pain” rather than being unbearably painful.

Wearing a chastity device means your penis is denied the full sensation you usually experience, you won’t be able to touch yourself, even when visiting the bathroom and this is going to be frustrating.

Will it Hurt?

When you first receive your device you may experience some discomfort until you body becomes used to wearing it. If you do it’s usually initially felt around the scrotum where the cock ring fits, and you may notice a little pinching. Regular and frequent use of a good lubricant around the cock ring can help keep minor skin reactions to a minimum and aid comfort. As an alternative to lubricant may also prefer to treat your skin around this area with a good quality cream such as E45, this will treat/reduce any irritation and give you sufficient lubrication to rotate your cage by a few degrees aiding general adjustment and improving day to day comfort.

At the start you will need to regularly experiment with ring or spacer or post adjustments to find the best fit, and should remove the device to check for any signs of skin damage. In general a chastity device may not fit you perfectly right “out of the box”, but with a little time, and care of yourself and attention to hygiene your body will soon adjust over a period of a few weeks.

Jeans, Trousers and Underwear:

Whilst wearing a chastity device does not necessarily mean you need to change your wardrobe this is something you’ll probably need to experiment with. Some wearers do purchase a few new pairs of trousers with just a little bit more room in the crotch to reduce the profile of the device. You will probably find that you do need to adjust yourself and the device about once an hour and having some extra space to do so will help with every day comfort.

Another thing you may like to consider is your underwear, different styles may give you that added room or more support for your new device. For extra support you could even try a pair a nice pair of women’s knickers, some men report that these offer more support than male briefs, and give a smooth outer appearance making your chastity device less obvious under clothing. (We’re not talking about “sissification” here, simply offering some sensible tips to help improve support for your chastity device).

Sitting Down

Sitting down when wearing a chastity device, particularly when driving, may take some getting used to. Longer length devices can present more of a problem when driving. You may also discover you need to adjust your ball sack slightly more often than before you wore a chastity device.

Does a Chastity Device Prevent Erections?

Strictly speaking – No. Erections, although somewhat restricted, are not “severely” restricted and aren’t normally painful when wearing a chastity device. If you have the correct size cage as you become aroused your erection will push the cage away from your body and the “root” of your penis remains outside the device.

Wearing a chastity device and having less orgasms means over time it’s possible that you will mentally tune in more to other erogenous zones; such as your neck, your nipples, your ears, your balls, and perhaps your anus. Through chastity and orgasm denial you may become a more tender, more considerate, more sensitive and a more passionate lover. You may gain a better appreciation that your cock isn’t absolutely necessary for good sex. You learn to enjoy the pleasures of your own body without orgasm or direct touch to your penis. You become a better lover by discovering new ways to arouse and excite the body of your Wife, and overall you discover that your pleasure is to be found in her pleasure. Pleasing and pleasuring your Goddess is your reward – a reward that may earn you release and even orgasm.

Wearing a chastity device usually means that you actually become more sexually aroused during the day, as your mind returns to the one who holds your key. Every time you visit the bathroom you are reminded of your lock up and that this part of your body belongs to your Mistress.

Night Time Erections:

Wearing any Chastity belt or device through the night will take some getting used to, and you may find this quite a challenge. This is particularly true of any device which is closed or partially closed at the end.

You will probably need to adjust your life long preferred sleeping position, sleeping on your stomach may no longer be comfortable for you. Sleeping on your back might be ideal, alternatively try sleeping on your side with a pillow under your leg. During the first month or so you may find that sleep is almost impossible due to a straining erection – this does improve with time and practice.

Another tip to improve the night time experience is to empty your bladder as much as possible before going to bed, try not to drink too much in the hours just before you retire. If it all gets too much for you then remove your chastity device and try again the following night.

But remember the chastity experience is all about what’s best for you and your keyholder. If you really find sleeping an issue, adjust your life style, don’t hurt yourself unnecessarily, and use the honour system during the night. You’ll have the added bonus of hearing the padlock click in place each morning as your keyholder instructs you to put on your device before you leave for work!

If you use the CB-3000 or CB-6000 during the day, and find sleeping a real problem, consider purchasing just the cage of the Curve to wear during the nights. This is a longer cage and may give you the extra room you need to reduce any night time discomfort.

Uncircumcised/Natural Penis

In general most devices will suit both natural and circumcised cocks, but some are more practical than others for the uncircumcised penis.

Some men with a natural uncut penis may discover that their foreskin protrudes through the urination slots of some chastity devices and this can be uncomfortable. This tends to happen with designs that have a tube completely encasing the penis and a slot for urination, such as the very popular, light weight, “CB-6000” or “CB-3000”. These chastity devices prevent you from touching your penis and have relatively large vertical urination slot. Although this design feature is really helpful for allowing a good flow of urination, some men, but not all, find the constant rubbing of the protruding foreskin a nuisance, others find this situation even causes the foreskin to become inflamed if worn for any length of time. Whether this would happen to you depends on your choice of chastity device and your own personal dimensions.

If you are uncircumcised and the design of the best selling CB3000 or CB6000 particularly appeals to you try pulling your foreskin back a to expose the head of your penis before you enter the tube, this may prevent it protruding. You may also find it helpful to carry a few Q Tips or Cotton Buds so you can gently reposition the foreskin back into the tube, a small amount of lubricant on the tip of the cotton bud really helps, or try a little aqueous cream, that’s gentle on your skin, like E45. Using the “Stocking Method” to put your chastity device on should help to prevent your foreskin from bunching up between the ring and the cage.

Wearing a chastity device and be noisy!

Click! Click! Initially you may find the knocking sound of the padlock as it bounces on the cage somewhat louder than you would like. This is particularly so with metal padlocks knocking against metal cages.

Some Keyholders love to hear this sound, as it emphasis that her man is locked up just for her. You too may come to love this clicking. However, a solution for when you’re at work is to simply take a rubber band and wrap it around the padlock’s body, this will muffle the sound. You could also try wrapping the rubber band around the tube of your device and the padlock to stop any movement at all.

Urination – Going to the toilet when wearing a chastity device.

When wearing a chastity device most men accept that sitting down to urinate will become an everyday activity and part of the norm.

There aren’t many men who are able to stand up at the urinals when in chastity.

Standing up to pee is a matter of trial and error, it takes practice! Make sure you are confident before attempting it away from home. How effective, splash free and hygienic you can be while urinating also depends a lot on the design of your chastity device. Some men are able to align themselves quite well with the vertical slot in the “CB-6000”. What is important is that you are able to urinate when relaxed in your chastity device. If your flow is in any way obstructed by the device or additional security products such as the KSD remove it immediately.
